Terry’s World
Terry’s World
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with my dad and talk about the Jesse Lee Home and his experiences. Even helped him put it up on his own personal webpage. To visit that go to www.jameslsimpson.com
We are all influenced by where we came from, those who went before. What we are now is a bit of what we make of it, as well the influences of the past.
The Jesse Lee Home is an orphanage in Alaska where my father grew up. The home is gone now, although a few buildings remain. The remarkable story about those who went to Alaska to help the young Natives after they became orphans from the many diseases are captured in some of the photographs seen. Above is a copy of the cover of Dad’s book.
Soon to come in these pages is the new edition of “The Road Kill Diet,” which is a book of recipes from Alaska and beyond, charting the journey to the lower forty eight states and Alaska
But you can also learn a bit about what I do now-- weight loss surgery, and how to lose weight with it, or how to lose weight without it. Nothing fancy, but simple steps to lose weight. We use the lap-band for weight loss surgery, believing this to be the safest surgery today, an effective tool for weight loss. So we have some podcasts about that.
We also have a few chapters from our last book in audio form. Just a sample, our own audio book. To order our books go to www.theweightlossdr.com or www.obesitydr.com

The Long journey

In the lower left is my dad, who received Shareholder of the Year from Cook Inlet Region, Inc. this November. Dad and Mom later that day, with Dad wearing the traditional Athabascan Chief’s necklace he was given that day
